When I first started this venture, like many people, I played around with different versions of the business name. But eventually, I realized I wanted the name to carry a deeper meaning, something that reflected not only my work, but who I am at my core.
One of the qualities I value most about myself is the way I love. I truly believe I was created from love and placed on this earth to spread joy, compassion, and connection. I’ve learned that the moments in my life that feel most aligned and meaningful are the ones guided by love.
As a therapist, I know the greatest instrument I can offer my clients is my genuine self.
That’s how Led by Love Counseling Collective came to be. The name is more than a label, it’s a guiding principle rooted in my personal story and in the way I approach healing. Alongside this, my love for sunsets has become a powerful metaphor and source of comfort in both my life and work.

The Story Behind It
Life experiences can leave people feeling lost, broken, disconnected, or uncertain of who they are. When I began my journey as a therapist, I wanted to create a space where people who looked and sounded like me could feel safe, seen, and supported. I wanted to challenge and break cultural stereotypes surrounding therapy and mental health.
The phrase Led by Love captures the heart of that mission.
It reminds us that love, whether it’s self-love, compassion from others, grace, or simple acts of kindness can be a powerful force for healing. Love is not just a feeling; it’s an intentional choice. It means showing up with patience, empathy, authenticity, and respect for each person’s unique story.
The name reflects my belief that growth and healing becomes possible when we allow ourselves to be guided by our own version of love.
The Art of Sunsets
Sunsets have always held a special place in my heart. There is something deeply grounding about watching the sky shift from bright daylight into soft, warm hues. It feels like a sacred pause; a moment to breathe, reflect, and simply be present. A sunset cannot be rushed; it asks us to slow down and witness the transition. In many ways, it reminds me that endings can still be beautiful, and that every day carries the promise of a new beginning.
This resonates deeply with the work we do in therapy. Growth and healing often require us to acknowledge painful endings, grief, transitions, and loss while still making space for hope and renewal. Just as a sunset marks the close of one day, it also prepares us for rest, restoration, and eventually, a new dawn. A chance to reset, refresh, and restart.
Seeking mental health support is also a process of transformation. Healing is not about bypassing pain or rushing through hardship. It is about allowing yourself the space to unfold naturally and trusting that even after darkness, light will return.
Led by Love was Born
Choosing the name Led by Love was a deliberate decision rooted in my belief in the power of kindness, connection, and compassion throughout the healing process. It was born from my passion for developing professionals into clinically competent, confident, and ethically grounded practitioners who serve their communities with empathy, respect, and integrity.
My love for sunsets serves as a daily reminder that even after life’s darkest moments, beauty and hope can still be found.
If you are seeking a therapist who values empathy, authenticity, and a compassionate approach to healing, I invite you to chase your own sunset and discover that sometimes the most important step in the journey is simply allowing yourself to be led by love.
